Duties and responsibilities
As a project engineer, you will be responsible for leading customized water projects at home and abroad. In doing so, you will be in contact with customers together with your sales team colleagues, listening to their needs. You will work with a team of process technologists to find the right solutions and translate the needs into a concrete design. You will be responsible for the complete electromechanical execution of the project and for its implementation, with handover to the Azulatis operations team.
Here you will work on the detailed engineering of our installations (both electrical and mechanical), writing technical specifications and appointing suitable contractors/suppliers for the realizations of these process water and wastewater installations.
As a project engineer, you will manage contractors, suppliers or your own team of technicians and verify that they have completed the assignments in accordance with the standards and budgets imposed.
As a project engineer, you will work mainly in the eastern part of the country, mainly between Brussels and Limburg.
Your profile
- You have a master’s degree in industrial engineering with a major in electromechanical engineering, or equivalent through experience
- You have a thorough knowledge of electricity, pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics and mechanical engineering
- You have experience in preparing and reading P&IDs, electrical schematics and architectural plans
- You have experience in the design and construction of electrical installations (both low and high voltage)
- As a project engineer, you are driven, hands-on and solution-oriented where you proactively address potential issues
- You have an eye for detail and make suggestions for improvement where necessary
- You take the lead in consultation meetings and can make presentations
- You are customer friendly and inform the customer in case of questions
- A sporadic foreign assignment does not deter you
- You are willing to perform guard duty several times a year
- You live in the region of Flemish Brabant, Brussels, Limburg or Antwerp
