Tasks and responsibilities

  • You'll be in daily contact with major industrial clients, working with them to explore how they can improve the sustainability of their water use. You'll be the primary point of contact for these prospects. You'll identify customer needs, clearly map them out, and translate them into a business case, offering a comprehensive solution from start to finish.

  • For this you work together with a team of process and project engineers

  • Carrying out commercial assignments

  • You map potential customers and products based on various prospecting assignments

  • You'll prepare technical commercial quotes with support from colleagues in the process, project, and implementation. You'll follow up on these quotes to finalize the contract negotiations and build a long-term relationship with the client.

  • You participate in trade fairs and customer events and are responsible for staffing your own exhibition stands.

Your profile

  • You have at least 5 years of commercial experience in complex project sales with long lead times. This experience enables you to develop commercial strategies and share your action plan with colleagues.

  • You're energized by working as a team on a commercial project and achieving success. You take an autonomous and driving role to ensure your projects move forward.

  • You have relevant basic training (chemistry, physics, biochemistry, process engineering) or equivalent through experience

  • You are solution-oriented, analytical, and creative, and primarily seek win-win situations. You have strong communication skills and easily connect with clients.

  • You have a commercial flair and are unparalleled in your persuasive skills. You also prioritize the customer's needs and go above and beyond to meet them.

  • Do you have a VCA certificate? Great! Don't have one? No problem, as long as you're willing to obtain one.

  • You speak perfect Dutch and professional English. A good command of French is also a significant asset.

  • Microsoft Office holds no secrets for you. Experience in a similar role within the water sector is a plus.

  • You have a passion for water or are familiar with the industrial water-to-order market. Knowledge of wastewater treatment is also a plus.
